Monitoring
BIQK-45 (Biological Quackiform) is a CLASS IV pathogen under seasonal monitoring at Centum Laboratories. It causes complete species transformation into duck-like organisms. Despite its seemingly absurd presentation, the lack of any known cure and the permanent nature of the transformation earn it a CLASS IV designation.
Pathology
Symptoms
Transformation occurs in approximately 1 second — near-instantaneous. The patient's body changes colour and fades, replaced with a duck-like organism.
Variants
| Variant | Chance | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Standard Duck | 80% | Transforms into a standard duck resembling the northern shoveler species. Can perform quacking vocalisations and basic attacks (15–30 damage). Harmless in it's form. |
| Ugly Duckling | 20% | Transforms into a larger, more aggressive form with enhanced speed and combat capabilities. 25% infection chance on hit, with 50% chance the new infected becomes an Ugly Duckling themselves. |
Transmission
- Physical attacks from infected individuals
- Ugly Duckling variant: 25% infection on hit

Special Notes
- Seasonal virus (observed during April migration periods)
- Transformation is permanent until death — no cure exists
- Ugly Ducklings can infect and kill Standard Duck variants
